Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) announced the appointment of three new principal supervisors within the district’s Enhanced Support Zone (ESZ).
Jamiera Johnson, Roshanda Johnson, and Shuvon Ray will provide leadership for ESZ schools—those that have been identified or have the potential to be identified under the Kentucky Accountability System as needing comprehensive support.
These three leaders will work directly with campus principals to strengthen leadership capacity, build robust instructional frameworks, foster accountability, and support equitable academic outcomes for all students across the ESZ.
“Jamiera Johnson, Roshanda Johnson, and Shuvon Ray bring decades of proven turnaround success, exceptional instructional expertise, and a relentless focus on equity to the Enhanced Support Zone,” said JCPS Superintendent Dr. Brian Yearwood. “By aligning our district systems and placing these leaders directly in a position to coach, advocate for, and empower our ESZ principals, we are reinforcing our commitment to student achievement.”
Jamiera Johnson
Jamiera Johnson steps into the principal supervisor role with an extensive background in district leadership, instructional coaching, and school administration within JCPS.
Most recently serving as executive administrator (EA) for the ESZ, she has spent years working directly alongside school leaders to accelerate improvement efforts, implement targeted instructional strategies, and close opportunity gaps.
The ESZ EA role will be eliminated as part of the district’s ongoing organizational realignment.
