Hawthorne Elementary School held its annual Leamos Juntos (Hispanic Heritage Read-In) by hosting LatinX community members to read to their students. Hawthorne is a Spanish Immersion Magnet school.

Price Elementary third grader Eriane Richie is making a name for herself on the track. This summer, she went down to North Carolina in the AAU Junior Olympics, and took home some hardware, adding to an already extensive collection.
