Today Hawthorne celebrated our 5th Annual ¡Leamos Juntos! Hispanic Heritage Read-In! Our classrooms were filled with stories, culture, language, laughter, and connection as our incredible guest readers shared books—and a little piece of themselves—with our Hawks.
From parents and community members to professionals, high school students, and former Hawthorne Hawks, we are so grateful for everyone who showed up to celebrate Hispanic/Latine heritage, the Spanish language, bilingualism, and literacy with our students.
Five years of reading juntos. Five years of celebrating cultura. Five years of showing our students that representation matters, language matters, and literacy matters.❤️
¡Muchísimas gracias to our amazing community for making today so special!
