Doss DECA is selling Domino's slice the price discount cards through November 11. Each card costs $20. These cards are good for large pizzas at Domino's. Every pizza that you purchase earns you another one for free! Buy one, get one… Buy five, get five pizzas! Cards can be used as many times as you'd like between now and June 30, 2026. Funds raised will help our students pay competition fees for this winter. If you buy online, the card will be mailed directly to you and our chapter will still get credit. Thank you for your support!

-HOSA officers were able to put together their Calendar of Work and created goodie bags for the MSD Trick-or-Treat festivities.
-Volleyball increased their participation by 15 students for the next season.
-Trivia students managed to explore some post-secondary options with Ms. Pat.

Due of the federal government shutdown, Kentucky has been told that November 2025 SNAP benefits may be delayed if the shutdown continues. It is not yet known if November benefits will be loaded on your EBT card on time, or at all, as the shutdown continues.
As soon as the federal government reopens or provides funding, the Cabinet will load benefits to EBT cards as soon as possible.

What you need to know:
You will still get your October benefits.
You can keep using any benefits already on your EBT card.
This issue does not affect your eligibility for SNAP.
DCBS offices are open and still taking and processing applications.
This includes benefits from the Simplified Assistance for the Elderly (SAFE) and Elderly Simplified Application Project (ESAP) programs.

You can find food assistance and other resources at kynect.ky.gov/resources.

For the latest updates, visit chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dcbs, check your kynect.ky.gov account, or watch for official DCBS texts or emails.

Extended School Services Program Information
Doss High School 2025-2026

The Extended School Services grant from KDE, 704 KAR 3:395, provides small group instruction for students struggling in one or more content areas. Each school receives funds to assist them in addressing the needs of students who need additional time and targeted intervention. Individual schools plan and implement ESS programs that meet the needs of their students.

ESS is intended to:
enhance the present level of performance of students who are having difficulty in one or more content areas.
provide additional instruction to students who are at risk of being retained and who are in danger of failing to graduate on time.
close the achievement gap of low-performing students.

Schools must provide an Out-of-School ESS program

Daytime Waiver
Schools with a Daytime Waiver from KDE may offer ESS services during the day outside of core instruction.

Student Eligibility
Schools shall notify parents/guardians of their child’s eligibility to be assigned to Extended School Services, including the manner in which a personalized student intervention plan and goals will be included as part of the student’s individual learning plan to help ensure that the student is able to achieve their academic and career goals.

Reconsideration of ESS Eligibility
If parents/guardians would like to request reconsideration of their child’s eligibility for Extended School Services, they may contact the local school ESS Coordinator or school counselor. If the request is not resolved, they may contact the District ESS staff for further assistance: 485-7019 or 485-6613.

Doss High ESS Plan
Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30
Begins November 10th, 2025; Ends May 7, 2026
Transportation will not be provided, but we can provide TARC tickets upon request
