Celebrating Those Who Make a Difference

Our Multilingual Learners have started a new tradition this year; each month they vote for the staff member who truly uplifts them, supports them, and makes Doss feel like a place where they belong. For the month of October, our ML students selected Miss Beitia as the Multilingual Learner Advocate of the Month!

What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that 25 other staff members were also nominated. That speaks volumes about the love, dedication, and positive impact so many of our educators and staff bring to our students every single day.

Congratulations, Miss Beitia! And thank you to every staff member who continues to pour encouragement, patience, and belief into our students’ journeys. You are making a difference.

100 Days with Dr. Brian Yearwood.
What we've done so far...Seven community conversations, hearing from parents and community partners across the district.
Dozens of school visits, connecting with students, staff, and principals.
Raised more than $13,000 to fight hunger through Dare to Care.
Announced a 5% reduction in chronic absenteeism.
And so much more to come. Thank you, Dr. Yearwood.
Huge shoutout to our TEC Academy principal and teachers who spent their Saturday cutting, painting, decorating, and getting everything ready for a secret student celebration! Their dedication makes moments like this possible and we can’t wait for our Dragons to see what’s coming.
