Winter Concert Tonight
Hi ZT Families,
I am so excited for our Winter Concert. The students have been working very hard.
Tonight's performance will be at 6:00pm. The kids will need to be at school at 5:40. I’ve asked the students to be dressed up for the evening performance. This includes holiday attire and accessories. Please, do not feel obligated to buy anything to wear for this concert. This time of year is already expensive enough.
Performance is a required standard for elementary students. Due to this requirement, participation in the evening performance is a music grade for these 9 weeks. However, if there is any reason that would prevent them from coming back that evening, please email or send in a note to excuse them. (It can be in any language. I’ve become a wizard at Google Translate.)

Our teams have worked hard to ensure our facilities and transportation routes are ready, and we’re excited to have students and staff back in our buildings.

There has been no announcement about NTI. If there is an announcement for NTI, we will immediately share information with families about what is expected from your child. As a reminder, the information linked below was sent home with families regarding our NTI plan.

Dear Zachary Taylor Families,
I know you have received information about a upcoming proposal regarding the possible closure of Zachary Taylor Elementary.
To gather input, JCPS will host three community forums where families can learn more about the proposal, ask questions, and provide feedback:
• Forum 1: Monday, December 1, from 5–6 p.m.
Location: Kammerer Middle School, 7315 Wesboro Rd.
• Forum 2: Tuesday, December 2, from 5–6 p.m.
Location: JCPS Center for Professional Learning, 3903 Atkinson Square Dr.
• Forum 3: Wednesday, December 3, from 5–6 p.m.
Location: Academy @ Shawnee, 4001 Herman St.

As we prepare for the upcoming Winter, we know there are days that we may have NTI. Please see the attached link with our NTI plan. If JCPS chooses to utilize and NTI instruction day, this will be shared on the local news and the school will reach out through our regular communication platforms.
