Any girls interested in joining the cross country team are invited to attend an informational meeting on Monday, August 10, at 4:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
The coach will provide an information packet and discuss the upcoming season, expectations, and answer any questions.

We spent the day building relationships, welcoming our new team members, learning together, and laying the foundation for an amazing year ahead. It was great to see so much collaboration, laughter, and excitement as we came together with one shared purpose: serving our students.
A huge thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make today such a success. It truly took all of us working together.
A special thank you to Ms. Moore for preparing breakfast and lunch for our staff. We appreciate everything you did to help make our first day welcoming and enjoyable.
I also want to thank Assistant Principal Schulz, Assistant Principal Schofield, and Assistant Principal Frech for giving up part of your weekend to help prepare for today. Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile helped make our opening day a success.
Today reminded me that great schools are built by great people. I am excited for the year ahead and grateful to be part of such an incredible team.

I have to take a moment to give a very special shout-out to our amazing librarian, Ms. Jennifer Cowan!
The amount of time, creativity, and care she puts into making our library such a beautiful, welcoming space for our students is incredible. Every corner has been thoughtfully created to make students want to come in, explore, read, and feel at home.
These pictures are just a glimpse of the work she has put into transforming this space, and I couldn’t be prouder to show it off!
Thank you, Ms. Cowan, for pouring so much of yourself into creating a library our students can be excited about. We are so fortunate to have you at OAS! 💜🦉💜

We were excited to welcome so many families for our 6th Grade and New Student Orientation, far more than we anticipated! It was wonderful to see our school filled with students and families getting ready for a great year.
A special shout-out to Mr. Schulz for organizing our orientations and putting so much time and effort into making the day a success.
I also want to recognize our amazing Assistant Principals Miss Schofield and Mr. Frech, teachers, counselors, and support staff. Everyone jumped in, supported families, answered questions, helped students, and did whatever was needed. The teamwork was incredible!
I feel truly blessed to lead such a strong and dedicated team. Thank you for always showing up for our students, families, and one another. 💜🦉

Dust off those backpacks, double-check those supply lists, and get ready for a great year! 🎉

🏐 Open Gym
📅 August 3 & August 4
⏰ 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
All athletes MUST have a current sports physical on file to participate.

We explored volcanoes, experienced small earthquakes, ziplined through the jungle, hiked through rainforests, crossed the Continental Divide, snorkeled, relaxed on beautiful beaches, swam in geothermal hot springs, and visited breathtaking waterfalls.
We immersed ourselves in the culture by making empanadas and tortillas, learning how chocolate is made (and creating our own!), touring coffee and pineapple farms, making soap with local coffee beans, squeezing sugar cane, and visiting a sustainability farm where we milked a cow and caught chickens. We also shared lunch with a local family during a cultural exchange and even tried a termite!
Thank you, Ms. Powell, for sponsoring this unforgettable experience. The memories, friendships, and lessons we gained will stay with us for a lifetime.

Today, we were honored to welcome back a former Olmsted South student who also attended Doss High School, where she was taught by Executive Principal Dr. Gomez during her time as a Spanish teacher and later as an assistant principal.
She shared her experiences, reflected on her journey, and recorded a special message inviting future students and families to become part of the Olmsted South community. Her words are a reminder that the relationships built in our schools can have a lasting impact.
