✅ SUPERINTENDENT SURVEY | The Jefferson County Board of Education wants to hear from the public as they search for the next superintendent of JCPS. With Dr. Marty Pollio retiring this summer, the board has begun the process of hiring his successor. To assist in this effort, board members are inviting the public to complete a survey that asks about the qualities and priorities they’d like to see from the next leader of JCPS.
Whether you’re a parent, student, staff member, community leader, or simply someone who cares about the future of JCPS and Louisville, your input is invaluable!
Take a few moments to fill out the survey and share your thoughts: bit.ly/jcps-superintendent-search

1/13/25 (Monday): Our instructional day will begin at 11:40 AM. If your child is a car rider or walker, we will open exit door 2 at 10:40 AM. Students will have the option of breakfast, and we will serve lunch.
The school dismisses on time at 4:20 PM. There is a lot of snow. Please practice patience as we navigate around it in our car rider lines. Safety will be our top priority.
Chromebooks will go home tomorrow. They need to be returned daily to school.
We are excited to greet our Bulldogs back after Winter Break. See you soon!
DELAYED START| All JCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 13, 2025. Early Childhood classes are canceled for the day. All after school athletic events and extracurricular activities remain as scheduled. There is no change to dismissal times.
The delay is due to the condition of some side roads and sidewalks throughout the county. A delayed start will allow students to be at bus stops and walking to school in the daylight.
We anticipate some bus delays due to side road conditions. We appreciate your patience as bus drivers prioritize safety. If your student is a bus rider or walker, please make sure to check their route and talk with them about safe places to stand and walk. If you are driving your student to school please allow extra time for transportation.
A two-hour delayed start means the following:
7:30 a.m. schools start at 9:30 a.m.
8:40 a.m. schools start at 10:40 a.m.
9:40 a.m. schools start at 11:40 a.m.
All dismissal times remain normal.

❄️ THANK YOU | Thank you to our JCPS employees working around the clock this week to prepare our buildings for the return of students and staff. We appreciate you!

❄️⛄️ SNOW DAY | The snow day adventures continue for our students and staff today. We love to see how our community is making #WinterFun memories! #SnowDayMagic #WeAreJCPS

SNOW DAY| Due to icy side roads and extreme cold temperatures, all JCPS schools are closed on Thursday, January 9, 2025. This is a traditional snow day with no online learning. All athletic events and extracurricular activities are canceled.
The safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff is our top priority. We will take several factors into consideration tomorrow to make a decision for Friday. We will evaluate road and sidewalk conditions, campus conditions, temperatures, and the potential of additional snow in the area. A decision will be made by Thursday evening on whether school will be in session on Friday.
Please stay safe and warm, and we look forward to welcoming students and staff back as soon as conditions improve.
