Just a friendly reminder about our annual Love of Learning celebration! We hope to see our Layne Families there!!!

This week is National FRC week and we want to give a big shout out to our wonder FRC coordinator Ms. Mone't Smith! She works tirelessly to support our families and we look forward to celebrating here this week!

Hello Layne Families,

On February 26th we will be having our Boots and Bling Dance! It will be from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Tickets will be by PRESALE only! There will be no tickets sold at the door. Tickets will be sold at school from February 9th to February 18th (including at parent/teacher conferences).

Tickets will be $7 per person. Every attendee will need a ticket, including adults. There must be a supervising adult with children at all times.

Your ticket includes entry, a slice of pizza, a drink, and access to a photo booth. Additional drinks and slices of pizza can be purchased as supplies last for $1.

This week is counselor appreciation day! We wanna give a shout out to our wonderful school counselor, Ms.Smith! Thank you for all you do! If you see her make sure you tell her how wonderful she is!

JCPS schools and offices will return to their regular, in-person schedules tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026 will be an NTI day for students and staff. All after school extracurricular and athletic activities are canceled.

Due to the additional snow and ice on roads and sidewalks throughout Jefferson County, JCPS will utilize a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.

🌟 CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS | Feb. 2 to 6 is National School Counselor Week, a time to recognize and celebrate the vital role school counselors play in supporting students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and career readiness.
