Due to the additional snow and ice on roads and sidewalks throughout Jefferson County, JCPS will utilize a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.

🌟 CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS | Feb. 2 to 6 is National School Counselor Week, a time to recognize and celebrate the vital role school counselors play in supporting students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and career readiness.

Each day this week, use the suggested activities to show your appreciation and thank her for all she does to support our students, families, and staff. Let’s make this a special week full of kindness, gratitude, and smiles!

Dear Families, Due to snow and some inaccessible sidewalks around the drop-off loop, we will be making temporary changes to car rider drop-off and dismissal tomorrow to ensure student safety. Families who normally use the church to turn around will need to go all the way around the building, as the church’s front loop is currently blocked by snow. In the morning, we will only use the front entrance and the gym door to release students. Watch for staff members to direct you and motion that it's safe for your child to exit the car. Once your child exits the vehicle, you will need to continue traveling around the drop-off loop instead of going forward to exit. During afternoon dismissal, we will not use the front loop to load students tomorrow. Please anticipate that dismissal may take additional time. After school activities will still happen tomorrow. Additionally, the Brookhaven neighborhood behind our school has not been plowed at this time, so we strongly suggest using an alternate route. Please take your time and drive safely. Morning car rider drop-off will begin at 10:10 AM, with school starting at 10:40 AM tomorrow. Afternoon car rider dismissal will conclude at 3:50 PM. Students will be permitted to wear boots. We will also celebrate the 100th day of school. Check your newsletter for more information. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize student safety.

NTI DAY | Today, our teams spent the day evaluating road conditions and school campuses across the District. While many main roads remain in good shape, several side streets and neighborhood roadways are still icy.

These conditions have led us to utilize another Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Friday, January 30. Students should follow their school-specific NTI instructions. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
