As we launch into the week ahead and prepare for our upcoming iReady assessments, I want to share a quick look at the commitment our team makes to your students every single day. Here is what you can expect from our team every time your student steps onto campus:
A Positive, Safe Climate: Our staff intentionally sets a welcoming, supportive tone in every classroom so students feel secure, valued, and ready to learn.
Equity and High Standards: We celebrate the rich diversity of our Crosby community by holding every student to high expectations while providing the personalized support they need to thrive.
Rigorous, Engaging Learning: Our teachers show up daily with challenging, well-planned lessons designed to spark curiosity and build real-world skills.
Partnering for iReady Success: As we dive into iReady testing this week, you play a huge role in helping your child put their best foot forward. You can support them at home by ensuring they get a great night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive on time, and enter the building with confidence.
Please stay connected by reviewing our school calendar for key dates and updates. Thank you for partnering with us to make Crosby #ThePlaceToBe!

The LAP explains the language support services, resources, and communication assistance available throughout the district. It also describes how JCPS provides interpretation and translation services, approved language-access technology, employee training, and multilingual communication practices across schools and programs.
If employees prefer to communicate in a language other than English, they can contact their immediate supervisor for work-related communication within their department or the appropriate district department when seeking assistance from another district office, such as Human Resources.
Schools, programs, and departments may request language support services through the Language Services Office to facilitate communication with students, families, and employees who prefer to communicate in a language other than English.

Crosby Parents and Guardians,
Our first two days of the 2026–27 school year were filled with incredible energy and enthusiasm throughout the entire building! We are looking forward to another amazing week as we kick off the year together.
This year, we continue to emphasize our positive R.O.A.R. system to celebrate students who demonstrate Respect, Ownership, Achievement, and Responsibility daily. We encourage you to talk with your child about how they can put these core values into practice all year long!
To keep drop-offs and pick-ups safe and smooth, please help us by following our designated car rider line procedures. Also, take a moment to review our dress code guidelines with your child [Click Here] for a complete breakdown of both!
We also encourage all families to jump in and make a difference by volunteering with our wonderful PTSA. Be sure to check out their slide and give their Facebook page a follow to stay connected.
Thank you for a fantastic first week! We look forward to partnering with you to make this school year our best one yet at #ThePlaceToBe - (Click Here) For the Remainder of the weekly

Dear Parents/Guardians,
JCPS is introducing My Ride K-12, a parent communication app, to its transportation
operations. My Ride K-12 is a one-of-a-kind mobile app integrated with your district’s student
transportation software that allows both you and your student to access estimated times of arrival or departure for your bus. This helps ensure that you and your student are on time for pick-ups and drop-offs while making the bus route more efficient.
Updates Are Just a Few Clicks Away - My Ride K-12 is designed so you can access your student’s bus schedules efficiently. - GPS technology on the bus works with the district’s software to automatically calculate the timing of a bus route to give you the most accurate ETAs with real-time updates. No more calls to your school are needed for updates. - Information can now be accessed at the touch of a button. Your students may also access the app if they
have a mobile device. - Sign up for push notifications to be automatically notified about changes in your
student’s bus arrival, and to prevent you from having to frequently check the MyRide K-12 app for ETAs.
Real-Time Information - View your student’s bus information in one convenient place, including:
• Assigned bus number
• Daily sub-bus number (if applicable)
• Scheduled arrival time
• Real-time bus location tracking
Getting Started with My Ride K-12
My Ride K-12 is now available for you two ways, through the web using a Chrome browser or through an
APP that you can download on your Apple or Android mobile device. Full directions are on the flyer and linked here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PRq7H52gfwEfcFj2VaUch3s8Bn4UqfEO/view?usp=sharing
