Excelente día en nuestra escuela gracias al panel “Voces de Nuestra Comunidad”, a cargo de la clase Introducción a Estudios Latinos y Latinoamericanos. Tuvimos el honor de recibir a Berta Weyenberg, Henry Miles, Mildred Menchu-Johnson y Ana Lane como panelistas. Compartieron sus historias sobre lo que significa ser latino en EE. UU. y la importancia de nuestras raíces. Su mensaje fue claro: ¡siéntete orgulloso de dónde vienes! Les agradecemos por representar tan bien a nuestra comunidad latina en Kentucky y por inspirarnos a construir un mejor futuro.
It was an excellent day at our school, thanks to the “Voices of Our Community” panel, hosted by the Introduction to Latin and Latin American Studies class. We had the honor of welcoming Berta Weyenberg, Henry Miles, Mildred Menchu-Johnson, and Ana Lane as our panelists. They shared their stories regarding what it means to be Latino in the U.S. and the importance of our roots. Their message was clear: be proud of where you come from! We thank them for representing our Latino community in Kentucky so well and for inspiring us to build a better future.
