Marion C. Moore High School's Health Science program suffered devastating damage to its classrooms, lab and equipment during an arson fire in early August. The hospital beds, mannequins, stethiscopes and other equipment and supplies were destroyed by flames and smoke leaving Academies students without a way to do the hands-on learning they need for their classes and potential certifications in the health field. But Moore has set up temporary classrooms and will be able to continue the practical classes with some help from SOS International. Moore is also hoping for donations from other health care providers.
