August 7, 2025

Dear Middletown Families,

We are so excited to welcome our students back to school! Our team has been preparing for a fantastic year ahead, and we can’t wait to see your children.

A few important reminders to make the first day smooth:

  • School doors open Thursday, August 7th at 9:10 AM. We’ll be ready to greet your child with open arms! Please make sure they have a backpack with their name on it, and be sure to send along emergency contact information for us.

  • Arrival Procedures:

    • Bus riders will enter through Exit 1.

    • Car riders and walkers will use Exit 2 for drop-off. For a quick and smooth drop-off, please stay in your car—our friendly staff will be there to assist your child as they enter the building.

  • Important Info for Families:

    • You’ll find key school details in our Family Handbook, including our cell phone and telecommunication policy. Please review these with your child to make sure everyone’s on the same page regarding device expectations.

  • Dismissal is at 4:20 PM. If you're picking up your child by car, please have your car tag visible. If you haven’t picked up your tag yet, no worries—we’ll be sending them home in backpacks. If you received an email with a car rider number, it’ll help us get everyone moving quickly if you can have it ready!

  • Carpool information:

    • Students in Grades K-2 (and siblings) will use the primary carpool at Exit 3.

    • Students in Grades 3-5 will use the intermediate carpool at Exit 11.

    • Walkers with approved safe route can pick up their child from Exit 7. Please remember, if you’ve not yet completed the Walker Form for the 2025-2026 school year, you'll need to do that in person at the door before your child can walk home.

As always, the first few days (and weeks) may take a little longer as we all get used to the routines. We appreciate your patience as we get everyone settled in.

We can’t wait to see you all soon!

Warmly,
Dr. Whitney Randall

Proud Middletown Principal
