This student-led newscast is shared in the mornings so students can hear announcements in a fun and engaging way.
Our goal with the Medora Newscast is simple: Get students more involved in school life, create leadership and participation opportunities, and make announcements more engaging and fun. Last week’s episodes included special interviews with members of our basketball team, highlights from Guitar Club, a staff spotlight, and some laughs with jokes from Mrs. O’Bryan
We’re excited to keep this going and continue sharing new episodes regularly. Click the link below to subscribe and keep watching to stay informed and connected to what’s happening at Medora.

DELAYED START| All JCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 2, 2026. Early Childhood classes are canceled for the day. All after school athletic events and extracurricular activities remain as scheduled. There is no change to dismissal times.
A delayed start will allow students to be at bus stops and walking to school in the daylight.

These conditions have led us to utilize another Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Friday, January 30. Students should follow their school-specific NTI instructions. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.
All athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Note: Updates may take up to 24 hours to show up in the app.

We’ll share an update once the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

While our crews report that most main roads are in good shape, many side streets and neighborhood roads across the county remain hazardous. Due to these lingering conditions and low temperatures, we believe transitioning to NTI is the safest choice for our students and staff.
Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.
All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.
Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we navigate these winter conditions. Please stay warm and safe.
