A very special shout-out goes to Mrs. Arnold and Ms. Bruise for providing the incredible entertainment all week long. You both kept the energy high and the smiles wide—thank you for making this week so memorable for all of us! 🎶🎤 Shoutout to Mary Byrne Fowler with Vanguard Mortgage for lunch on Friday! 🌭
Our staff works incredibly hard for our students, and seeing the community and our own colleagues come together to celebrate them means the world.

Huge congratulations to our incredible students who competed at the State Leadership Conference and have officially punched their tickets to the National stage! Your hard work, professional polish, and business savvy have truly paid off.
We are so proud to have these future leaders representing the Business & Leadership Academy and the entire JTown community. They’ve spent countless hours preparing their presentations, studying for exams, and honing their skills—and it shows! 💼⚡️

Today we celebrate our JCPS school nurses—compassionate, skilled, and absolutely essential. Thank you for taking care of our kids!

"There were days when I needed more than just a teacher, and somehow, you always knew."

A huge thank you to the JTown Alumni Association for treating our faculty and staff to an incredible taco bar from The Yellow Cactus today!
There is nothing quite like the support of our Alumni. It means so much to our staff to know that the Charger family continues to give back long after graduation. Thank you for making us feel so appreciated (and well-fed!) during Staff Appreciation Week! 🥑🌯
Once a Charger, always a Charger! 🩵🤍

Huge congratulations to our Teaching & Learning students who officially signed their JCPS Conditional Offer Letters today! This is a massive milestone as these future educators commit to returning to JCPS to lead their own classrooms after they finish their degrees.
By signing these letters, our students are:
📝 Securing their future: Locking in a direct path to employment within the district.
🎓 Committing to Excellence: Taking the first official step in their journey from student to professional educator.
🏫 Investing in our Community: Ensuring that the next generation of Louisville students will be taught by home-grown talent!
We are so incredibly proud of the hard work, heart, and dedication these students have shown in our Teaching & Learning pathway. We can't wait to see you back in the hallways as colleagues!
Our Build & Design Academy students recently turned the campus into a playground of innovation by creating their very own Academy Carnival!
This wasn’t just about fun and games—it was a showcase of everything they’ve been learning in the classroom. From the ground up, our students used their technical skills to design, engineer, and build custom carnival attractions.
Here’s how they put their skills to work:
📐 Engineering & Design: Planning and drafting layouts for structural integrity.
🔨 Construction & Fabrication: Bringing blueprints to life with hands-on builds.
⚙️ Problem Solving: Troubleshooting mechanics to make sure every game was "carnival-ready."
Seeing the creativity and craftsmanship on display was incredible. It’s one thing to learn it in a book; it’s another to build it for the whole school to enjoy! 🎢✨
A huge thank you to UofL Health Sports Medicine for visiting our Allied Health students recently! It was an incredible day of learning that bridged the gap between the sidelines and the clinic.
Our students took a deep dive into:
🏃 Career Paths: Exploring the diverse opportunities within the world of Sports Medicine.
🤝 Collaboration: Learning how athletic trainers work hand-in-hand with physical therapists, surgeons, and other healthcare specialists.
👣 Shadowing: Discussing real-world opportunities to see healthcare in action.
The highlight of the day was the hands-on lab, where students practiced the critical skills of managing sideline C-spine injuries and safe equipment removal. Learning how to stabilize an athlete in those high-pressure moments is a vital skill for any future healthcare professional!

A huge congratulations to our incredibly talented musicians on a spectacular Band Concert last night! From the first note to the final standing ovation, the hard work and dedication of our students was on full display.
A special shout-out goes to our Band Director, Mr. McIntyre, for his tireless leadership and vision. His commitment to pushing our students toward musical excellence is what makes performances like last night possible. Thank you for all you do for the program! 🎼👏
Protecting our lungs and our futures! 💨🚫
A big thanks to Louisville Public Health for visiting our classrooms recently to speak with our students about the real health risks of vaping.
It was an eye-opening session that covered the facts regarding how nicotine affects brain development and the hidden chemicals found in aerosols. Our students learned about:
🧠 How vaping impacts concentration and mood.
🫁 The potential for long-term lung damage and "EVALI."
🧪 The truth behind "fruit-flavored" marketing.
We are committed to providing our students with the facts they need to make healthy, informed decisions. Knowledge is power! 💪✨
