This March, we ran our March to Success Attendance Challenge, and wow, did our school community show up! The challenge was built around what we believe in most: character, leadership, and a real commitment to learning.
We couldn’t be prouder of our students and families' commitment.
Out of our 605 students:
🥇 Gold Level (Perfect Attendance & 0 Tardies): 208 students
🥈 Green Level (1 Absence OR 1 Tardy): 98 students
🔵 Blue Level (Improved Attendance from February): 201 students
That’s over 500 students (more than 83% of our school) who showed up, stayed consistent, or made real improvement. That doesn’t happen without families making it a priority every single morning.
Celebrating Success
Throughout the month, we recognized students in a variety of ways, including:
Weekly prize drawings for students who were present and on time
PBIS points earned daily for being in the classroom when the bell rings.
Special “Secret Attendance Mission” winners each Friday with Mr. Ice
End-of-month celebrations for students who reached their attendance goals, thanks to Marco Pizza and Texas Roadhouse.
A special shoutout to our 208 Gold Level students who were on time every single day, all month long. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident. It takes real dedication, and it shows in everything they do in the classroom.
Family Partnership Matters
Being a full car rider school means mornings can be tricky, and we get it. Many of you may have shifted your routines, left the house a little earlier, and made sure your kids walked in calm and ready. It made a difference.
Why It Matters
When students are present and on time:
They do not miss important instructions.
They start their day calm and confident.
They contribute positively to their classroom community.
At Greathouse, we believe:
Character is built through consistency.
Leadership starts with showing up.
Academic success requires daily commitment.
