As I look back on my education, I can’t help but think of the incredible impact you had on my learning and personal growth. Looking back, I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into making learning engaging and meaningful. Your kindness, patience, and belief in your students made a difference, and I am so grateful to have been one of them. From coming in as a new student with only a few months left of school, you welcomed me with open arms. You made me feel as though I had known you for years. You are the reason I am where I am today, and I am beyond grateful. Thank you for believing in me when I didn’t have faith in myself. You gave me a helping hand when I needed it most. No matter what the situation was, regardless if it was friends, family, school or just about anything, you were always willing to be there and listen to me talk. As I move on with life and begin my own journey, I will always remember your kind words and to never forget to keep going. Everyday I get to play, laugh, and—sometimes—cry with them as we navigate what can be a very overwhelming introduction to the ECE world. Communication is a foundational right for all people. Helping toddlers access that right by developing a way to communicate with their loved ones is so very rewarding. This resulted in 5 students getting access to much needed glasses that will play a huge role in their academic success.
