Crosby Families,
As we wrap up the first semester and look toward the winter break, we want to share some exciting developments regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how we are using it to enhance the learning experience for all Crosby students.
In the classroom, our teachers are learning to use AI tools that help them manage their workload more efficiently. These tools don't replace the teacher; rather, they give back the valuable resource of time by assisting with lesson preparation and organizing materials. This means our teachers can spend more focused, quality time directly interacting with and supporting your student.
The goal of AI in our classrooms is to elevate our teaching. By using these tools, we can ensure our instruction is high-quality, which sparks new ideas and constantly improves the incredible work our staff does every day.
I encourage you to have conversations at home about how technology, including AI, can be a supportive tool for learning and organization. As we finish the semester strong, thank you for your continued partnership in ensuring your students' success here at Crosby! #ThePlaceToBe! As we enter the final stretch of the school year, I would like to share a few important updates and reminders as we work together to finish strong.
First, we are excited to launch our end-of-the-year Food Drive sponsored by Mr. Ashford and our BSU, in support of local families in need. This is a meaningful opportunity for our students to embody our ROAR values, demonstrating responsibility, empathy, and service to others. More details about specific items are on the next slide!
As energy naturally increases toward the end of the year, we are also reinforcing our ROAR Expectations across the building. We are reminding students that how we finish matters just as much as how we start, making safe, respectful choices, staying engaged in learning, and continuing to take pride in our school community through the final days.

Our teams have worked hard to ensure our facilities and transportation routes are ready, and we’re excited to have students and staff back in our buildings.

I hope everyone was able to enjoy time with families and friends over the
Thanksgiving Break. Just as families across many cultures share ways of marking this
season by opening calendars, lighting candles, gathering together, or practicing daily
traditions, each school day gives us new opportunities to support, guide, and connect
with your child. Our Crosby teachers are sparking curiosity, having conversations at
the classroom door, and much more! These daily interactions help our students stay
focused and confident as we approach the end of the semester (15 days remain).
During this time of year, students benefit greatly from consistency, calm routines,
and strong partnerships between home and school. Thank you for helping us maintain
that stability.
Winter MAP testing is Tuesday and Wednesday this week! Your support this week,
ensuring students arrive on time, stay engaged, and come prepared, makes an
enormous difference. Click the link for the remainder of the weekly: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lA9KPY4GFGJoQ8YV2wlNAY5RLb-4rA3g/view?usp=sharing
