Summer office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We are closed from June 11th until July 5th for summer break. We will reopen on July 6th.

Please mark your calendar for the following dates:

Kindergarten “Meet the Teacher” – 8/4 (10:30-11:30)
1st, 2nd, 3rd “Meet the Teacher” – 8/4 (12:30-1:30)
4th, 5th “Meet the Teacher” – 8/4 (2:30-3:30)
First Day of School – August 6th (9:40-4:20)
Open House – September 22nd (5:30-6:30)

During Meet The Teacher, you can submit any pertinent documents to the Front Office Staff and complete the Enrollment Forms. Please come prepared with any of the following required documentation:

Birth Certificate
Immunization Certificate:
Every student must have a current and valid immunization certificate on file at the school they are attending with a complete and appropriate shot history. This is due within 2 weeks of enrollment. ALL students will also need proof of 2 Hepatitis A vaccines.
Physical Examinations:
Students entering a Kentucky school for the first time, and ALL students entering 6th grade must have a Kentucky Preventative Health Care form on file at the school they are attending within 2 months of enrollment. THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS A SPORTS PHYSICAL.
Vision Examinations:
Students entering school for the first time who are 3, 4, 5, or 6 years old must have a Kentucky Vision Examination form on file at the school they are attending no later than January 1, 2027. This exam MUST be done by an ophthalmologist/optometrist. The vision screening on the physical exam form does NOT meet the requirement.
Dental Examinations:
For 5 or 6-year-old students entering school for the first time, a Kentucky Dental Screening/Examination form must be on file at the school they are attending no later than January 1, 2027.
Health Conditions and Medications:
Any student that has a health condition (asthma, allergies, seizures, diabetes, etc.) should have a School Health Plan and/or Permission for Medication Authorization on file at the school. These forms need to be completed by the parent/guardian and the healthcare provider (school health plans). These forms are available in multiple languages at each JCPS school or at the JCPS Health Services website: https://www.jefferson.kyschools.us/student-support/health/medication

School hours are 9:40 AM - 4:20 PM. Students may arrive starting at 9:10 AM to eat breakfast. ALL students at Field receive both breakfast and lunch at no charge.

You may walk your children to their classrooms on the first three days of school (8/6, 8/7 and 8/10). We ask that adults remain at the front doors starting on 8/10. Transportation will send out texts and emails when you can check for your child's bus stop information. If you are changing your transportation method, be sure to call us to update as soon as possible. If you will be utilizing the car pool, we will provide you with a car rider tag at Meet the Teacher or the first day of school. Keep in mind that carpool may take a little longer than usual the first few days as students become familiar with the process. If your child is a bus rider, please allow them to ride the first day. This assists with a much smoother and safer first day of school.

You can bring your supplies on Meet the Teacher or on the 1st day of school.

If you would like to know your child’s teacher prior to “Meet the Teacher” day, please call the school on or after July 20th. We do not send a summer mailing via USPS Mail. Please be aware that this placement may change based on school enrollment and programmatic needs. We will also be sending instructions on how you can check your students' homeroom status online.
