Volunteerism
Every 1 Reads is a communitywide effort to have every student, in JCPS reading at grade level within four years.
Volunteer Talent Center is a program that recruits, trains, and places volunteers to meet identified local school and community education needs.
A School Volunteer Records Check Form must be on file with the local school before parents can volunteer at the school.
Partnerships
Community Schools - provide a variety of recreational and educational after-school programming for community members of all ages. Community Schools are located in the following schools: Cane Run Elementary; Farnsley, Frost, Meyzeek, and Western Middle; and Iroquois High School. Hours of operation begin at the end of school day and continue until 9 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Cultural Consortium Guide lists cultural-resource representatives who meet to create, coordinate, promote, and review cultural programs in area schools.

Mentoring/Dropout-LEEPLouisville Education and Employment Partnership - a collaborative effort among the Jefferson County Public Schools, Louisville Metro Government, Metro United Way, and KentuckianaWorks to assist students to remain in high school, to graduate, and to make a successful transition to employment and/or post-secondary education or military service.
The GE Foundation College-Bound District Program Focusing on Math and Science is a collaboration between education, business, and community leaders to strengthen the college-readiness skills of K-12 students in select U.S. school districts. The program seeks to improve student success, especially in math and science.
KidTrax is a partnership in which JCPS collaborates with Louisville Metro Government, YMCA of Greater Louisville, Metro United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, and many other community-based organizations that provide programming for youth in the Louisville area. Through this partnership, the school district, youth-serving agencies, and Louisville Metro Government hope to establish for the first time a data-supported link between quality after-school activities and the influence they can have on success in school.
Donations
JCPS welcomes gifts and donations of financial support. The impact of your gift extends far beyond the classroom walls. It spreads across our community as our graduates take their knowledge and skills into our local colleges and workplaces. A single gift of financial support or property can provide assistance for many students.
The Jefferson County Public Education Foundation exists to financially assist and support the public school system of Jefferson County, Kentucky, and to engage in activities that advance the education of the citizens of Jefferson County.
Planned Giving offers the opportunity to leave a legacy to the JCPS District through a planned gift to the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation.
Other Support
Adult and Continuing Education serves more than 30,000 adults annually through the following services: General Educational Development (GED) and skill-building courses, leisure-learning and career-enhancing Lifelong Learning courses, English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, workforce training, family education, and college-preparation courses.
Census Web is an application to allow the addition or modification of Student Census information. This application requires login.
Student Attendance Inquiry is an application to allow non-JCPS agencies, such as police, courts, and truancy and counseling agents, a way to review attendance information. This application requires login.
