The YPAS Counseling Department prides itself on arts-related, academic, and career counseling services specifically designed to assist the young artist in complex and mature decision making regarding a career in the performing arts. Structured to facilitate maturation to the next level of performing arts training, our individualized counseling services capitalize on close communication with parents, teachers, and administrators. The YPAS faculty and staff seek to provide an ongoing dialogue to maximize student growth and success.

- What is the best way to talk with my students counselor?
A parent should set up an appointment to see their students counselor by phone, e-mail, fax, or letter.
- What is the best way for my student to talk with his/her counselor?
Students may come to the counselor's office once they obtain permission from the teacher whose class time they will miss. They may also come before school, during lunch, or after school. If it is an emergency, they should contact a teacher or general office staff member immediately and let them know of their need to see their counselor.
