School Profile
Moore Traditional High School offers a four-year Graphic Communications Program to provide students with experience in every aspect of the publishing industry, including journalism, graphic design, pre-press, and printing and publishing technologies. Moore also offers Business Education and Marketing programs, and courses that can be taken for college credit. The school’s relatively small enrollment allows for individual, personalized attention from faculty and staff. Ninth-grade students work with a faculty team to ensure a smooth transition from middle school to high school. All seniors take a class in employability skills that prepares them for internships, co-op work experiences, and career opportunities. Moore offers Honors and Advance Program classes, and a special block-scheduling system that divides the school day into four, 85-minute class periods for more in-depth study. The school also provides an Air Force-JROTC Program to teach leadership skills, a Youth Services Center to provide extra support for students and their families, Extended School Services to assist students with homework and tutoring after school, and School-Based Decision Making to give parents a say in their child’s education.
