School Profile

Western MST Magnet High School is conveniently located at 2501 Rockford Lane, in South Western Jefferson County. Western has approximately 950 students, which allows for all the amenities that a relatively small school can provide. Within our intimate learning community all students are expected to achieve at high levels. Western boasts of numerous unique programs and opportunities which help to ensure the success of all members of our diverse community. For example, Western has articulation agreements with Spalding and Sullivan Universities, which enable students to receive financial aid, scholarships, and enhanced classroom instruction. Western offers four year programs specializing in computer maintenance and repair, networking, and web design. The Business Program offers co-op for seniors. In the Culinary Arts program, students gain restaurant and catering experiences their junior and senior years. The aforementioned are just a few of the many unique educational opportunities offered at Western MST Magnet High School. In the 2007-08 school year Western will go to a six period day.
