School Profile

Eastern High School is looking to the future with a high-demand Computer Arts and Sciences Program. The program gives students a chance to work with the latest computer technology. Eastern High School is the only school in Jefferson County that requires at least two years of computer credits in order to graduate. The computer curriculum is a comprehensive as well as rigorous combination of computer fundamentals, problem solving skills and mastery of a wide variety of computer programs. Eastern High School is equipped with 15 computer labs and an average of one computer for every 3 students.

Approximately 86% of Eastern graduates attend college and have one of the highest ACT scores in the county. Each graduating class receives millions of dollars in scholarships from prominent colleges and universities. We also offer a variety of classes that are for college credit at Bellarmine College and The University of Louisville along with the nationally accepted Advanced Placement Program. Eastern, set in a quiet, suburban area, boasts championship athletic teams as well. Advance and Honors programs as well as Advanced Placement are available, and parents are encouraged to take part in School-Based Decision Making. Students who need a little extra help with homework can take advantage of the Extended School Services Program.
