Welcome to Butler Traditional High School, home of the Bears, located in the community of Shively. Since 1954 Butler has taken pride in its traditional educational environment. In 1988 Butler became a magnet high school offering a traditional curriculum. Students must apply for the program, providing evidence of appropriate attendance and academic achievement based on grades and test scores. Butler Traditional High School adopted uniforms in the 1995-96 school year. Parents, alumni and community members join the Butler staff in continuing Butler's long-term emphasis on educational services to students.
