School Profile

Byck Elementary School develops the academic, artistic, and creative talents of our students through our K – 5 Talent Development Magnet and K – 5 Waldorf-Inspired Magnet.  We stress strong academic standards and enriched learning opportunities.  Students develop their talents through planned enrichment activities that range from exploration to in depth studies; special services for gifted and talented students; and an optional, kindergarten through grade-five team that uses Waldorf instructional methods.  The curriculum is based on principals of active learning, multiple intelligences, arts in education, integrated themes, problem solving, and student choice.
