Roosevelt-Perry welcomes our English as a Second Language Learners. The ESL is a program the helps educate students who have limited English language skills. This program was instituted at Roosevelt-Perry four years ago and to date we have about 100 students that are learning English while attending Roosevelt-Perry. |
The Jefferson County Public School District recognizes the need to serve students coming from environments where English is not the primary language. Through the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program, ESL teachers and bilingual associate instructors share with regular classroom teachers the responsibility of educating students with limited English proficiency.
