Indian Trail Elementary's History

Indian Trail Elementary School was erected in 1959 and is located at 3709 E. Indian Trail in Louisville, Kentucky. The school sits on a 13.2 acre tract in south central Jefferson County.

Indian Trail Elementary School began its MicroSociety magnet program August 2009. MicroSociety is inquiry-based learning.

Indian Trail Elementary School has 32 teachers and various instructional assistants who take tremendous pride in serving the students and the community. The staff as well as the student body is diverse in its population.

The staff uses a wide variety of creative materials and techniques to enable students of all learning styles to become responsible and respectful citizens.
