Principal, Karla Davis, receives the Pacesetter School award from Gene Wilhoit, Kentucky's Commissioner of Education.

Our school scored in the top 5% of 1200 schools in Kentucky based on the CATS test.

Message from Mrs. Davis... The staff of Greathouse/Shryock Traditional Elementary School is committed to providing a traditional learning environment where each student is responsible for his/her own social, academic, and physical well-being in order to become a contributing member of our diverse society. Our instructional program stresses basic skills in a highly organized learning environment. The traditional program has stringent academic standards, high expectations of students, defined discipline and dress codes, nightly homework, and maximum instructional time on task while at school. There is also frequent communication to parents to provide continuity between home and school. Our students achieve at high levels because there is a partnership agreement between school, student, and parent.
