A Message from our Counselor

Ms. Anderson believes a school counselor...

is a leader that ensures an inclusive, caring, respectful, and supportive learning environment.

helps every student gain access to rigorous academic preparation that will lead to great opportunity and academic achievement.

advocates for students' educational needs and ensures these needs are addressed at every level of the school experience.

builds effective teams by encouraging collaboration among all staff to work toward the common goal of academic success for every student

Communicate to every student I meet that each is special and precious in my eyes.

Encourage and support the students when they feel despair.

Correct gently and point them in a direction that is true to their own life spirit.

Parent those who need it and befriend those who have lost faith in adults.

Keep my promises to them.

Parents wishing to speak to Ms. Anderson, the Counselor, about their child should contact me by phone, email, fax or letter. Students wishing to talk with Ms. Anderson, should make an appointment through the Counseling Office. If it is an emergency situation students should immediately contact their teacher or general office staff and let them know of their need to speak with me.
