The GE Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the General Electric Company, awarded a four-year $25 million grant to the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS). The primary goals of the grant are to help the district raise student achievement in mathematics and science and increase the number of JCPS graduates enrolling in college. After establishing World Class Standards in mathematics and science, JCPS and the Jefferson County Teachers Association (JCTA) will revamp the curriculum with the focus of producing high school graduates who can compete successfully in the global marketplace. While not easy, the district and its teachers are committed to accomplishing this task. Enter this website and learn how a unique collaboration between the GE Foundation, JCPS, and JCTA is shaping the future of public school students in Louisville, Kentucky.
