I graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with an area of concentration in Accounting and a major in Mathematics from the University of the Cumberlands. I earned my Master in Mathematics Education and Rank I at Eastern Kentucky University. I have taught mathematics for JCHS since the fall 1992. During this time, I taught mathematics at four of the six JCHS locations, wrote Geometry and Business Math curriculum for JCHS and Independent Study, and am currently writing curriculum and managing students online with JCPSeSchool. Before moving to Louisville, I taught mathematics at Corbin, Kentucky Independent Schools and Guilford County Schools in Greensboro, North Carolina. Online learning allows students to gain a deeper understanding of material previously presented in a regular classroom and extend knowledge. My courses include reteach sections which presents the material a second time in a slightly different way to students who need additional instruction. Paper and pencil assignments are available for students who need additional practice.
