What is the registraton process if I live in Jefferson County, KY?

• Students must have their own Internet Service Provider (ISP), preferably a DSL or Broadband connection.
• Students must obtain an application from their school counselor or the website for each 1/2 credit course.
• All information requested on the application must be completed.
• The student's counselor must sign the application to verify approval of course to be taken.
• The fee for each semester course is $125; a full-year course is $175. Some courses may require a textbook or lab manual, course fee or CD for an additional cost. From August 1 to April 30, students who live in Jefferson County and attend private, parochial or home schools may enroll in courses at no cost (except for required materials). We accept cash, checks, MasterCard and VISA.
• Students within a 50 mile radius of Louisville, KY must enroll at the JCPSeSchool office IN PERSON in order for instructions and course requirements to be explained. This process takes approximately 30 minutes.
• Students outside a 50 mile radius of Louisville, KY must send in their enrollment by mail or by fax with payment by check or accompanying credit card #. Please call the office for specific directions.
• Students should bring their completed application to:

Can I take a course if I attend a school outside Jefferson County?
Yes. Schools can enroll students in individual courses at a cost to the school of $125 + the cost of materials per 1/2 credit course at any time during the school year if space is available.* Enrollment forms can be downloaded from this site under Registration.

If you do not attend a school you must have an enrollment form signed by your parent.

Can schools outside of Jefferson County enroll students in JCPSeSchool courses?
Yes, schools outside of Jefferson County who wish to use our courses may select from the following options:

• Option 1
  Schools can enroll students in individual courses at a cost to the school of $125 + the cost of materials per 1/2 credit course at any time during the school year if space is available.* Enrollment forms can be downloaded from this site under Registration.
• Option 2
  Schools can purchase slots in increments of 8 which will allow them to enroll a specific number of students at any given time.
  8 slots @ $1400 - Allows 8 simultaneous users during the school year. When a student completes a course, another student can be enrolled in that slot. 16 slots @ $2800 24 slots @ $4200 32 slots @ $5600
  One complete set of resource materials will be furnished.
• Option 3
  Schools may have unlimited use of eTutorials and eSheets for $1000 for the school year. Students and teachers will have access to over 500 tutorial units covering the core content areas for student remediation/enrichment (examples: Scientific Method, Writing a Personal Essay, Addition & Subtraction of Fractions, How Laws are Made, Keyboard Shortcuts), and over 100 eSheets (worksheets and reference sheets).
  *Schools may also approve JCPSeSchool courses for students to take outside of regular school hours with the student paying $125 per 1/2 credit + the cost of materials.

Are there refunds if I change my mind?
If a student discontinues a course and applies for a refund within one month from the date of enrollment, a refund of the tuition will be made, minus a $5 registration fee. No refunds will be made past the one-month period. This only applies to students who have personally paid JCPSeSchool for their course. Students that pay their own school for recovery of a credit must negotiate with that school concerning a refund.

Can I transfer from one course to another?
With the approval of the principal or counselor a student may transfer to another course within one month of enrollment by paying a transfer fee of $5.
When a transfer is granted, the new course must be completed within the maximum completion date of one year from the original date of enrollment (or earlier if completion date set by local school). The enrollment fee cannot be transferred from one person to another.
