I have Bachelor and MAT degrees from Western Kentucky University and a Rank I from the University of Louisville. I have taught English, Journalism, and Arts and Humanities at the high school level and English/Language Arts at the middle school level. I teach an education course and supervise student teachers at the University of Louisville. 

The opportunity to provide "one-on-one" feedback to students about their writing is the most valuable aspect of online learning for developing writers. My courses are student friendly and have a humorous and engaging tone. My courses offer models, examples, and non-examples to demonstrate learning and what is expected of the students. Lessons and assignments are structured for mastery before moving on to another lesson or assignment.
