The Title V Program is one of our Safety Net programs in the District designed to initiate and supplement quality educational activities for students. The Title V Program provides services for students with low attendance and students with potential of dropping out of school.

The target populations for the Title V Program are students in the ninth through twelfth grades that have fifteen or more absences, students with a high suspension rate, and students at risk of dropping out of school.

The Title V Program maintains an increased focus on parental involvement. Each of the 11 participating high schools has a Home School Coordinator to plan, develop, and operate the project to meet the particular need of the schools.

The Title V Program provides funds for 9 Private/Non-Profit Schools and the Louisville Catholic School System, which consists of an additional thirty-eight schools. The funds are provided according to Federal and State laws to be used to improve student achievement.
