The district meeting of the DADS program are the first Thursday of every month in the Van Hoose Education Center in the auditorium. Sandwiches and cookies are served. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can have enough food. (485-3926)

The Mission of DADS

As the DADS program works to become more visible in our schools is it important that we are reminded of the mission of the program.  DADS is designed for members “To volunteer and support students, parents, staff, and the community by enhancing the learning environment through the active presence of men in the individual schools.”

The DADS organization of the Jefferson County Public Schools has elected officers for this school year. The President is Russell Clark and Vice President is Ray Schweri. They are working very hard to make connections with the DADS members and to provide support and encouragement as the members work with the youngsters in the schools system.

The DADS program is in the Community Development department.  The Deputy to Superintendent, Marty Bell is the head of that department and is excited about the potential of the DADS program.  He states, "I believe in the structure and the mission of the DADS program.  We will work hard to help the men in the program have a positive impact on the environment of the schools."
