JCPS Online
The Computer Education Division of the Jefferson County Public School District created JCPS Online as an interface where learners can participate in educational opportunities any time, anywhere, at any pace. This learning community will allow faculty and staff to participate and collaborate using virtual dialogues, and ongoing work groups to address Advance Program issues. These issues can include subjects from the implementation of the Gifted/Talented Student Services Plan to the methodologies and strategies utilized to identify and reach all gifted and talented students as well as their curricular concerns. In addition, this new technology can be utilized to initiate teacher-facilitated classrooms that allow students opportunities for the completion of course work and that serve as sites where students can enroll in Jefferson County Public Schools Online courses.
JCPS Online allows for sustained interaction between appropriate personnel as they focus on a common goal or issue, and is an excellent resource in the development of methods, strategies, curriculum and programming that enhance the achievement of all gifted and talented students.
Enrollment in this endeavor is geared toward administrative and teaching staff involved with the implementation of the Gifted and Talented Student Services Plan (GSSP) as it relates to curriculum and service-delivery options of Advance Program students. For JCPS Online, your user name and user password will be the same as your JCPS-issued email ID and password.
