General Information
Belief statement:
JCPS believes that technology is an important part of education in the 21st century. We believe it is important for students, teachers and staff to develop technology skills and to apply these skills to improve their learning, teaching and professional productivity. We believe that technology, when used effectively in teaching and learning, will increase student achievement.
CES Vision:
All JCPS students, teachers and staff will be confident, competent users of technology, and student achievement will increase through the effective use of technology in the classroom.
CES Mission:
Computer Education Support helps JCPS staff become proficient users of technology and supports student achievement, including technology literacy, through the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning. CES provides professional development for all staff, implements a technology skills curriculum for students, and supports the integration of technology in the classroom.
CES Goals:
- All JCPS staff will use technology to improve their work;
- All JCPS students will be technology literate; and
- All JCPS teachers and students will integrate technology in teaching and learning.
