Audited Financial Statements and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
The audited financial statements fairly present the financial activity of the Jefferson County Public Schools for the fiscal year. The fiscal year is July 1 through June 30.
The statements are submitted each year to the Jefferson County Board of Education for acceptance pursuant to the rules and regulations of the Board, and in compliance with the guidelines and statutes of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
The CAFR contains three sections: Introductory, Financial, and Statistical. The Financial section includes the audited financial statements, Management’s Discussion & Analysis, and Required Supplementary Information, also known as the General Purpose Financial Statements, as reported in prior years. The Introductory section provides an overview of the District, and the Statistical Section provides long-term trend data.
