Professional Development

The JCPS Center for Environmental Education and Blackacre State Nature Preserve has served as a center for professional development in support of both districtwide and local school needs since 1981. As professional development has evolved to meet the changing needs of the district, the Center for Environmental Education has continued to provide a variety of services in the ongoing education of teachers and other JCPS personnel. It has done so through individual school staff development sessions, districtwide and community initiatives, and the University of Louisville's Kentucky Institute for the Environment and Sustainable Development.

Call our office for a printed booklet of all the 2006-07 Professional Development sessions at 485-3295 or if you have any questions.
