| Here is a picture of the MSD pumping station on Pond Creek. The pumpstation is part of the 30 + mile flood wall system of Jefferson County. If the Ohio is in flood, this gate would close and prevent water from the Ohio River flooding southwest Jefferson County. There are huge pumps inside this station which when active would pump the water of Pond Creek over the flood wall into the Ohio River. |
