Principals For Tomorrow
Target:K-12, teachers, Certified staff in non-teaching leadership roles: assistant principals, counselors, instructional coaches
Principals for Tomorrow is a yearlong program designed to identify potential principal candidates and improve instructional leadership skills.
IDEAS and University Collaboration/University Program Redesign
Target:K-12, teachers
IDEAS is a collaborative, yearlong program with UofL designed for JCPS employees seeking initial principal certification. University collaboration includes preparation redesign work with Bellarmine, UofL, Spalding, and IUS.
Internship

Internship is a yearlong field experience using a medical model with on-the-job instructional and managerial leadership training to prepare candidates for the role of principal or assistant principal
Induction Support Program, Principals
KPIP- Kentucky Principal Internship Program

KPIP is a mentoring and evaluation system for all new principals
Induction Support Program, Principals, is a two-yearlong program designed to help new principals become instructional leaders and gain skills necessary to be proficient school leaders. KPIP is a mentoring and evaluation system for all new principals.

Instructional Leadership Teams is a yearlong project designed to establish school level work teams to improve student academic performance.
Certificated Teacher Evaluation Training

Certificated Teacher Evaluation is an 18-hour program designed to teach new school level administrators to use the formal teacher evaluation process effectively.
Leader Assessment Center

Leader Assessment Center provides select third and fourth year principals with professional growth direction using a 360 Degree assessment tool. (Succession planning)
Counselor Institute and University Program Redesign
Target:K-12, current counselors
Counselor Institute is a comprehensive, yearlong program designed to increase the skills and readiness of aspiring counselors. The university program redesign is a collaborative initiative with U of L and IUS to redesign counselor preparation programs with a focus on student achievement.

Alternative School Administration Study (ASAS)

ASAS is a three-year study of a new administrative structure for elementary schools designed to increase principal time spent on instructional improvement and determine if this results in increased student academic performance.
