Cultural Consortium Guide - A guide of cultural-resource representatives who meet to create, coordinate, promote, and review cultural programs in area schools KidTrax - A partnership in which Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), collaborates with Metro Government, YMCA of Greater Louisville, Metro United Way, Boy's and Girls Clubs, Salvation Army Boy's and Girls' Clubs and many other community based organizations that provide programming for youth in the metro area. Through this partnership the school district, youth-serving agencies, and Metro government hope to establish for the first time a data supported link between quality after school activities and the influence it can have on success in school. Neighborhood Place - a collaboration of partner agencies that create a network of health, education, employment and human services designed to help families gain and sustain self-sufficiency. More than 500 staff members offer their array of services in the neighborhoods and communities where families who need us live. How can I support JCPS?BusinessEvery 1 Reads - a community-wide effort to have every child in JCPS reading at grade level within four years. Mentoring/Dropout-LEEPLouisville Education and Employment Partnership - a collaborative effort among the Jefferson County Public Schools, Louisville Metro Government, Metro United Way, and KentuckianaWorks to assist students to remain in high school, to graduate, and to make a successful transition to employment and/or post-secondary education or military service. Partnerships - JCPS proudly expands our student's classroom experiences to the world around them. In the district's 150 schools, more than 3,800 school/business partnerships exist. JCPS welcomes business support of our students' education. Business partnerships vary from a business adopting a school (by offering mentors, speakers, and financial support) to businesses that employ student interns through the district's School-to-Career Program. OrganizationsCommunity CollaborationCensus Web - An application to allow the addition or modification of Student Census information. Childcare Enrichment Program (CEP) - a jointly sponsored program between Jefferson County Public Schools and the YMCA of Greater Louisville. The partnership provides quality, affordable childcare before and after school hours for all JCPS students ages 5-14 (Kindergarten thought Grade 8) and are located in 49 school sites throughout Jefferson County. Community School - a program which provides a variety recreational and educational after school programming for community members of all ages. Community School programs are located in the following schools - Cane Run Elementary, Farnsley, Frost, Meyzeek, and Western Middle and Iroquois High School. Hours of operation begin at the end of school until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. GE Foundation College-Bound District Program Focusing on Math and Science - The College Bound District Program is a collaboration between education, business and community leaders to strengthen the college-readiness skills of K through 12 students in select U.S. school districts. The program seeks to improve student success, especially in math and science.
